Uber Eats Adds AI Cart Assistant Feature

Uber said on Feb. 10 that its Uber Eats app will add a beta AI feature called Cart Assistant that builds grocery baskets from text prompts or images, including photos of handwritten lists or recipe screenshots. Cart Assistant prioritizes items from users’ past orders, checks store availability, displays prices and promotions, and lets users edit selections before placing orders; it launches Wednesday at multiple U.S. chains including Albertsons, Aldi, CVS, Kroger, Safeway, Sprouts, Walgreens and Wegmans.
