Nvidia Explores New Shield TV Upgrades

In an interview with Ars Technica, Nvidia senior vice president Andrew Bell said the company is exploring a new Shield TV model that would add support for modern video codecs and HDR formats. Bell said priorities include AV1, additional Dolby Vision profiles, and Samsung's HDR10+ for local playback; Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has pledged effectively lifetime software support and no discontinuation plans.
