South Korea Strengthens Relations With Singapore And Philippines

South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun said Friday he held phone talks with senior Philippine and Singaporean officials while in Canada to coordinate President Lee Jae Myung's upcoming state visits, which begin Sunday with a three-day trip to Singapore followed by Manila. The discussions covered the 77th anniversary of Korea-Philippines diplomatic ties, consular protection for South Koreans, and plans to expand cooperation in future growth sectors including artificial intelligence and nuclear power.
