Kakao Partners With Google On Device AI

Kakao said Thursday it has formed a strategic partnership with Google to collaborate on on-device AI services and embed its technologies into Google’s extended reality devices, including AI glasses. The deal will optimize Kakao’s Kanana chatbot for Android, pursue TPU-based Google Cloud operations to reduce GPU costs, and target Kanana’s official Q1 launch after an October beta.
