Former Minister Lee Sentenced To Seven Years

Former Interior Minister Lee Sang-min was sentenced to seven years in prison Thursday after Seoul Central District Court found him guilty of playing a key role in former President Yoon Suk Yeol's Dec. 3, 2024 martial law decree. The live-televised ruling deemed the decree an insurrection, citing orders to cut power and water to critical media and following a 23-year term for ex-PM Han Duck-soo.
