Xiaomi Releases Watch 5 With Gesture Controls

At MWC 2026, Xiaomi launched the global Xiaomi Watch 5 featuring EMG, PPG, and IMU sensors that enable pinch and rub gesture controls and a large 930mAh silicon‑carbon battery. The watch runs on Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 with a BES2800 co‑processor, ships with Wear OS 6 and Google Gemini preinstalled, and promises up to six days in smart mode or 18 days in power saver mode.
