Washington Post Cuts One-Third of Staff

The Washington Post announced on Wednesday, 4 January, it is cutting one-third of its workforce and began large layoffs across all divisions, affecting more than 300 staff. The cuts eliminate the sports section, shrink books and metro coverage, and retain about 12 foreign bureaus focused on national-security reporting.
