Visa Leads AI Maturity Index in Payments

Evident released its first AI maturity index for the payments industry on Wednesday, ranking Visa first among 12 global payments companies, followed by Mastercard and PayPal. The report found nearly 100 AI use cases, an average 6.5% of employees focused on AI across the cohort, and noted Visa has invested more than $3.5 billion and over 2,500 technologists, yet none of the firms disclose comprehensive AI ROI.
