Universities of Wisconsin Expand AI Programs Statewide

Universities of Wisconsin System President Jay Rothman says AI is transforming the state's public universities and previewed a Board of Regents discussion this week, highlighting systemwide AI initiatives. He cited plans across 13 campuses including UW‑Madison's new College of Computing and Artificial Intelligence (operational in July), UW‑Whitewater's Bachelor of Science in AI, and MSOE's $76.5 million AI center, aiming to boost workforce, research and statewide outreach.
