UAE Tightens AI Rules in Schools

The UAE Ministry of Education released the 'Safe and Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence in Classrooms 2026' guide, introducing 25 prohibitions including a ban on generative AI for students under 13 and forbidding AI use in formal exams and undisclosed submissions. The policy also bars uploading personal data to external AI services and mandates a K–12 AI curriculum from the 2025–26 academic year taught by over 1,000 trained educators.
