Trump Media Proposes Truth Social Spin-Off

On Feb. 27, 2026, Trump Media & Technology Group said it may spin off its Truth Social app into a separate publicly traded company after completing a $6 billion merger with fusion energy company TAE Technologies. The company said shareholders would receive stock in the separated business and Truth Social would then merge with Texas Ventures III SPAC; Trump owns 52% and the app saw a 4% revenue dip in the quarter ended Sept. 30.
