Tempo Launches Mainnet and Machine Payments Protocol
Tempo, a payment-focused blockchain incubated by Stripe and Paradigm, launched its mainnet and introduced the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP) on Wednesday, March 18. The network now exposes public RPC endpoints and MPP — co-authored with Stripe and extended by Visa for card rails — supports stablecoins, cards and other payment methods to enable programmatic agentic payments, instant settlement, low predictable fees and real-world flows like remittances.
