Telus Digital, the outsourcing and digital-services arm of Telus, has confirmed a cybersecurity incident after threat actors claiming to be ShinyHunters alleged extraction of nearly one petabyte of data during prolonged unauthorized access. Telus says it identified unauthorized access in a limited number of systems, engaged external forensics and law enforcement, contained the activity, and will notify affected customers; operations reportedly remain functional.
