Tech Giants Pledge Self-Supplied Power for AI Data Centers

Major technology companies including Amazon, Google, Meta, Microsoft, xAI, Oracle and OpenAI will meet President Donald Trump at the White House on March 4 to sign a pledge to supply their own power for new AI data centers, a White House official confirmed to CNBC on Wednesday. The initiative aims to prevent higher utility bills by having firms build, buy, or bring dedicated power capacity, affecting data-center siting and grid investments.
