South Korea Tops Global Export Categories

A Korea International Trade Association (KITA) report on Tuesday showed South Korea led global exports in 81 product categories in 2024, including memory chips, solid-state drives and face masks. China still topped overall with 2,087 leading items; KITA said Korea reclaimed memory-chip leadership from China thanks to high-bandwidth memory demand and expects further gains, including a tanker rebound in 2025.
