Samsung Sends LPDDR6X Samples To Qualcomm

Samsung reportedly sent LPDDR6X memory samples to Qualcomm ahead of LPDDR6 mass production targeted for the second half of 2026. Samsung's LPDDR6 will start at 10.7 Gbps with about 21% better efficiency versus LPDDR5, while LPDDR6X aims for 14.4+ Gbps; JEDEC specifications remain unfinalized. Qualcomm plans to use the parts in its AI250 accelerator, targeting capacities beyond 1 TB, with LPDDR6X expected around late 2027–early 2028.
