Samsung Adds AirDrop Compatibility to Android
Samsung is beginning a phased software update to add compatibility between Apple's AirDrop and Android's Quick Share, starting today with the Galaxy S26 series in South Korea. Google announced Quick Share–AirDrop interoperability in November and expected rollouts to begin with the Pixel 10 series; Samsung says the feature will expand to North America and other Samsung devices over time. This enables direct cross-platform nearby file sharing between iOS and Android devices.
