Romantic Font Redefines Vintage Typography Usage

Designer Nicky Laatz recently released the Romantic font, a hand-drawn hybrid script and serif that reconstructs vintage letterforms with contemporary features. It includes extensive OpenType alternates, PUA encoding, contextual morphology, and variable glyphs that mimic pen pressure to produce deliberate irregularity. The typeface targets branding, editorial headlines, packaging, and social media, trading body-text legibility for expressive, handcrafted personality.
