Qualcomm Releases Snapdragon X105 Supporting Satellite 5G

Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon X105 modem, expected to pair with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and rated Release 19-capable, introducing NR-NTN satellite 5G and NB-IoT failover for messaging. The X105 promises peak downlink speeds up to 14.8Gbps (13.2Gbps on sub-6GHz), 4.2Gbps uplink, agentic AI connectivity features, a 6nm RF transceiver with 30% lower transceiver power, and quad-frequency GNSS with up to 25% power savings.
