OpenAI Secures Massive Strategic Funding Commitments

OpenAI is finalizing the first phase of a new funding round expected to bring in more than $100 billion, with a pre-money valuation of $730 billion and an overall valuation that could exceed $850 billion, people familiar said. Strategic investors including Amazon, SoftBank, Nvidia and Microsoft are set to provide the initial commitments — reportedly up to $50B, $30B and $20B respectively — with funds delivered in tranches this year.
