NETSCOUT Reveals Surge In DDoS Attacks

NETSCOUT released its DDoS Threat Intelligence Report for the second half of 2025, recording over eight million attacks across 203 countries and territories and peak traffic reaching 30 Tbps. The report highlights growth in DDoS-for-hire services, resilient botnets, compromised IoT/CPE infrastructure, and rising use of AI by attackers, urging organisations to adopt intelligent, automated mitigation to protect critical services.
