Microsoft President Predicts Thousandfold AI Growth

Puneet Chandok, Microsoft India and South Asia president, said on Feb. 16, 2026 at the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi that AI models are improving at an unprecedented pace and predicted thousandfold growth over the next three years. He called coding the biggest current use case, said 59% of Indian businesses use AI agents, and argued firms will shift from cloud-first to AI-first models, reshaping jobs.
