Israel Cyber Director Warns AI-Boosted Attacks

Yossi Karadi, chief of Israel's National Cyber Directorate, said in a March 2026 interview that AI has amplified cyberattacks, contributing to global economic losses of $10.5 trillion in 2025 and two quadrillion bytes of Israeli data stolen. He described attackers' expanded scale, higher-quality exploits and deepfake tactics, noted INCD issued 2,480 attack alerts in 2025 (2,304 proactive), and urged continuous cyber intelligence and deterrence shifts.
