India Positions AI As Agriculture Pillar
On Feb. 22 in Mumbai at the AI4Agri 2026 Summit, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh outlined a national push to make AI central to agriculture, citing the Rs 10,372-crore India AI Mission and BharatGen’s Agri Param model in 22 Indian languages. He proposed Bharat-VISTAAR, an India AI Open Stack, and a National Agri-AI Research Network to scale multilingual, low-connectivity, and interoperable agri-AI solutions.
