ICE Expands Use Of Microsoft Cloud And AI

Files obtained by +972 Magazine, Local Call, and The Guardian show U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement increased data stored on Microsoft's Azure from about 400 terabytes in July 2025 to nearly 1,400 terabytes by January 2026, roughly 490 million images. The documents indicate ICE also uses Microsoft AI tools such as Azure AI Video Indexer and Azure Vision to analyze video and images, raising contract and ethics questions.
