Governments Launch 6G Security And Resilience Principles

Western governments unveiled 6G Security and Resilience Principles at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, led by a Global Coalition on Telecoms including the US, UK, Canada, Japan, Australia, Sweden and Finland. The non-binding framework urges supply-chain controls, stronger authentication, breach-containment designs, and early adoption of quantum-resistant cryptography to address risks from disaggregated architectures and embedded AI. The coalition aims to influence standards and vendor behavior before 6G deployment.
