Google Enables Population-Scale Diabetes Risk Assessment

Google and Taiwan’s National Health Insurance Administration (NHIA) use Gemini to analyze Taiwan's unified health database, launching AI-on-DM diabetes risk assessments that cut per-case processing from 20 minutes to 25 seconds and can screen 20,000 people in under 90 minutes. This month NHIA will add a Gemini-powered health assistant in its government app used by 10 million people, supported by a $1 million Google.org grant for community diabetes care.
