Generative AI Reshapes K-12 Workforce Skills Expectations

The Burning Glass Institute and the AI Education Project released a report, "Which Skills Matter Now? A Data-Driven Framework for K–12 in the Age of AI," analyzing how generative AI is transforming workforce skills for K–12 students. The analysis identifies competencies to deepen, transform, sharpen, or apply differently and recommends changes to standards, assessment, professional development, equity, and partnerships to prepare students for AI-augmented work.
