General Magic Raises $7.2M To Scale Texting Agents

Toronto startup General Magic announced on Tuesday it raised $7.2 million USD led by Radical Ventures with participation from a16z Speedrun to expand its texting AI agents for insurance. The company says its agents span pre-quote eligibility, post-quote engagement and claims coordination and can cut call volume by 30%, saving insurers over 250 hours monthly. Funding will grow product, go-to-market, and hiring.
