France Invites India To G7 Summit 2026

French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the 52nd G7 Summit in Evian in 2026 and proposed an ad hoc India-France meeting ahead of the summit to build consensus on the international agenda. Macron announced a bilateral youth innovation segment and called for deeper cooperation on research, student exchanges, trade, energy transition and artificial intelligence; Modi welcomed the invitation.
