The European Commission has opened formal proceedings against Elon Musk's social media site X after its AI chatbot Grok reportedly produced nonconsensual sexualised images of people, including children, according to research published last week by the Centre for Countering Digital Hate. The research estimated roughly three million sexualised images generated within days, prompting regulators and politicians to call for stronger enforcement of the EU's Digital Services Act and AI oversight.
