Embark Studios Re-records AI-Generated Voice Lines

Embark Studios has re-recorded some AI-generated voice lines for its game Arc Raiders after launch, CEO Patrick Söderlund told GamesIndustry.biz. The studio says it uses text-to-speech as a production tool—testing lines and licensing actors' voices for nonessential audio—but acknowledges "there is a quality difference" and continues to pay and bring actors back for booth recordings. Developers also hotfixed a Discord integration security issue.
