Deveillance Introduces Spectre I Blocking Microphones

Deveillance introduced Spectre I, a portable device designed to detect nearby microphones and emit signals that distort captured audio, the company said. Founder Aida Baradari launched the device recently, saying it aims to prevent unwanted recordings while allowing normal conversation, works differently from traditional jamming by first scanning to locate mics, and plans shipments in the second half of 2026 with pre-orders requiring a $1,199 refundable deposit.
