DeepMind Opens Project Genie For Interactive Worlds

Starting June 23, 2026, U.S. Google AI Ultra subscribers can access Project Genie, DeepMind's experimental tool for generating interactive game worlds from text prompts or images. The prototype combines Genie 3, Nano Banana Pro image model and Gemini, and limits sessions to 60 seconds to manage compute. DeepMind says the release aims to gather user feedback and training data for world-model research.
