Cloudflare Launches Markdown for Agents Reducing Token Usage

Cloudflare has launched "Markdown for Agents," an edge feature that converts HTML to Markdown when AI agents request pages, reducing token usage by up to 80 percent. The feature uses Accept: text/markdown content negotiation, returns an x-markdown-tokens header and content-signal flags, and is available to Pro and Business customers via dashboard and API. This lowers inference costs and simplifies agent consumption of web content.
