Applications Drive AI Returns, Report Finds

Cloudflare's 2026 App Innovation Report, based on a survey of more than 2,300 senior leaders across APAC, EMEA and the Americas, finds application modernisation strongly correlates with AI returns. Organisations ahead in modernising are nearly three times likelier to report clear AI payoffs, with APAC leaders especially emphasizing software updates (92%) and high integration levels (90%). The report links modernisation, security alignment, and tool rationalisation to scalable AI integration.
