Anthropic Challenges US Supply-Chain Risk Designation

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei confirmed on Dec. 9, 2025 that the U.S. government designated the company a supply-chain risk and said Anthropic will challenge the designation in court. The label forces defense vendors to certify they do not use Anthropic's Claude models for Pentagon work, citing DoD concerns over autonomous weapons and domestic surveillance.
