Amazon Projects $200 Billion Capital Expenditures For 2026

Amazon on Feb. 6, 2026 said it expects to invest about $200 billion in capital expenditures across the company in 2026, up from a prior estimate of $144.67 billion, as hyperscalers ramp AI infrastructure spending. The spending will fund AWS capacity — including the Rainier project and nearly 500,000 Trainium2 chips used with Anthropic — and retail expansions such as more Whole Foods locations and a 225,000-square-foot mega-store.
