Amazon Expands Alexa Plus To All Users

Amazon announced that Alexa Plus, its generative AI-powered assistant, is now available to all US Prime members and to non-Prime users via a free chat tier or a $19.99 monthly subscription, effective immediately. First launched in March 2025 in Early Access and powered by Amazon Nova and Anthropic LLMs, the assistant adds deeper conversational capabilities for booking, planning, and smart-home routines.
Scoring Rationale
Official Amazon product expansion with broad US rollout and notable LLM partnerships, limited by incremental rather than novel technical innovation.
