Allen Institute Launches Open SERA Coding Agents

The Allen Institute for AI (Ai2) is launching SERA, a family of open coding agents and toolkits today, releasing models, code, training data, and full recipes. Ai2 reports SERA-32B solves 55% of SWE-Bench Verified issues while SERA-8B solves 29.4%, and claims replication costs as low as $400 (best performance ~$2,000) using two Nvidia H100s. The release enables low-cost fine-tuning on private codebases.
