AI Enhances Olympic Athlete Training and Experience

Artificial intelligence is being integrated across the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, which run through Feb. 22, with deployments from Google Cloud and Alibaba Cloud. Google Cloud and U.S. Ski & Snowboard use computer vision and LLMs to extract biomechanical insights from ordinary video for athlete training, while Alibaba's Qwen assistants and AI replays support multilingual fan engagement, broadcast enhancements and adjudication support.
