WIPO Rejects Etihad Domain Claim Over Etihad.ai

World Intellectual Property Organization panel ruled that Etihad Airways improperly sought the domain etihad.ai and that the complaint amounted to reverse domain name hijacking. The panel found the respondent lawfully registered etihad.ai as a transliteration of the common Arabic word "etihad" (meaning "union"), saw no bad-faith use or connection to Etihad's services, and denied the transfer.
