Stuart Russell Urges Governments To Curb AI

Stuart Russell, a UC Berkeley computer science professor, told AFP on Tuesday at the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi that tech CEOs are engaged in an AI 'arms race' that could one day threaten humanity. He called on governments to act collectively to regulate development, citing huge data-center investments, corporate incentives, job risks, and safety concerns.
