South Korea Adds Consortium To AI Foundation Program

South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT on Feb. 20, 2026 selected a consortium led by Motif Technologies and KAIST as an additional contender in its state program to develop homegrown AI foundation models. The move adds to three previously shortlisted teams and provides contestants with GPU access, data, and support as the government plans to pick two final winners by year-end.
