SK Hynix Establishes U.S. AI Company

SK Hynix announced on Wednesday it will establish a new U.S.-based artificial intelligence company, committing at least $10 billion and restructuring its California Solidigm subsidiary. The U.S. entity will serve as a hub for SK Group's AI strategies and pursue strategic investments while supporting HBM production and advanced packaging initiatives, including a separate $3.87 billion Indiana facility slated to begin operations in 2028. The move aims to capture surging memory demand driven by AI.
