PSA Proposes National AI Incident Database

The office of the principal scientific advisor to India's Union government released a white paper recommending a national database to record, classify and analyse AI-related risks and incidents, including safety failures, biased outcomes, security breaches and misuse. The report proposes a techno-legal governance framework — including an AI Governance Group, a tech-policy expert committee, and an AI Safety Institute — and urges sectoral guidelines over a standalone AI law.
