OpenAI Delays Ive-Designed Hardware Device Launch To 2027

OpenAI says its Jony Ive–designed AI hardware device is delayed and will not ship before the end of February 2027, according to a court filing. The filing also discloses that OpenAI has abandoned plans to use the "io" name after a trademark dispute with hearing-aid startup iYo, extending development and branding uncertainty for the product.
