Norfolk Hospitals Delay EPR Go-Live to 2027

Norfolk and Waveney University Hospitals Group has delayed the go-live of an £88 million Meditech Expanse electronic patient record, moving deployment from March 2026 to spring 2027, interim digital director Ed Prosser-Snelling said. The extension follows contract signing in July 2024 and aims to ensure statutory reporting, avoid clinical disruption and incorporate emerging technologies like ambient voice and AI. The collaborative plans further business-case work to preserve benefit-to-cost ratios.
