New Brunswick Stops Using X For Communications

New Brunswick announced on Feb. 5, 2026 that it will stop using X for routine government communications, Premier Susan Holt said on X and Facebook. Holt cited reports of harmful content and inadequate safeguards — including allegations that X's AI chatbot Grok produced deepfake sexual images — and noted the EU has opened a formal investigation. The province will use Facebook, Instagram and Bluesky instead.
