Microsoft Expands Data Centers In Mount Pleasant

Microsoft won local approval on Monday to build 15 new data centers in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, expanding a nearby campus and adding almost 9 million square feet and three proposed substations. The expansion, with a combined taxable value exceeding $13 billion and water usage covered by an 8.4 million gallon annual allotment, will allow Microsoft to recognize revenue tied to OpenAI and other clients as capacity comes online.
